Timberline Inn of Grand Lake

We love this place and always enjoy our stay. It’s an adorable, rustic and quaint little motel just a couple miles outside of Grand Lake and the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. Amazing mountain and lake views on location as well! We’ve been coming for a few years in late spring and summer, and it has always been great value - comfortable, clean, quiet, and half the price of other lodging options in Grand Lake. The motel is older and the rooms and property have typically called for a little updating and touch ups (though, it adds to the charm and character of the place). During our recent stay, we were happy to meet the friendly owners and their two sweet little daughters while they worked on doing just that. There was already a noticeable difference and after chatting with them, I look forward to seeing their continued improvements! Keep it up and thank you! 10/10 recommend

All you need in the mountains. Basic, but comfortable rooms, and I like its location. Other than the walls being a little thin and occasionally hearing other guests talking, it’s really quiet and I like that it’s not in downtown Grand Lake. I stay here when I come up for work, and when I bring my kids up for boating and fishing. Rooms and amenities are nothing fancy, but it isn’t a Marriot in a big city, and it doesn’t need to be. Perfect place to go back and sleep in a clean room with comfortable beds after a hard day’s work, or a day of playing hard in the wilderness. Can’t beat the prices either…right on!

Very convenient booking. When you arrive you are sent the code to your room, Wi-Fi and viewing cabin, free parking. Accommodations are adequate for a few nights stay. We were in the executive suite, bed was very comfortable, have a full kitchen, view of Shadow Mtn Reservoir. For an older cabin style accommodation, it has upgrades, love the natural wood floors in the great room and the fireplace. It had everything we needed for a couple nights.

We had a great stay at the Timberline Inn. The room we stayed in was surprisingly spacious definitely larger than most hotel rooms and super clean. It’s also very quiet, which made for a relaxing getaway. The motel is just outside of Grand Lake Village, but still only a few minutes away from shops, restaurants, and everything else you might need. There’s even a marina right across the road, you can walk there easily if you want to enjoy the lake(s). Right out front, you get stunning views of the lake and the Rocky Mountains, such a beautiful sight to wake up to. Highly recommend if you're looking for a peaceful, comfortable stay.

My sister and I arrived early at the motel, and the housekeeper, Nina, helped us get in touch with the owners--we wanted to see if we could check in early. He said that would be fine as long as the room was clean and ready. Nina helped us into the room. It was spotless!! And Nina, the housekeeper, checked on us everyday that we were there to see if we needed anything. Great service on the part of Nina and the owners.

Super convenient booking and such an amazing location. We all enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning as soon as possible. You can’t beat the view we had every morning.

My mom and I reserved a 2 bed room for a couple of nights. Very clean rooms and beds. A little out dated and the walls a bit thin, but a great place to rest your head. The viewing room in the parking lot was great for card games and watching the sunset. Very close to town without being in the crowds.

For the price great. Currently staying just for the weekend. We got the room with the full kitchen and supplies are good enough. Good WiFi, no lagging watching shows on our computers. It’s not updated but that’s the point I feel. Some nosies from older heating systems and the utility room. Only complaint would be check the shower curtain and in between the sink/shower. Do the simple things to keep it feel a little cleaner.
